Umpires
We want to extend a big thank you to all of our dedicated umpires who play a crucial role. Our adult umpires are 100% volunteers, and we are grateful for the leadership and experience they bring to our District.
District 7 house league games rely on youth umpires who are honing their skills on the field. To maintain a positive atmosphere, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy towards questioning or bickering with umpires at all levels. If you have suggestions for our umpires or program, please reach out to the Jim Gibson, Umpire in Chief (UIC) at: uic@d7littleleague.ca.
Youth umpires must be of majors baseball age and non-players must be 11 years or older. Adults must complete a Criminal Record Check online and attend the annual District 7 Umpire Clinic.
If you are interested in becoming a Little League Umpire, reach out to our Umpire-in-Chief, Jim Gibson. Youth umpires are paid per game, while umpires 18 years and older volunteer their time.
Looking to brush up on important rules and situations for the upcoming season? Stay tuned for updates for the 2024 Season!
